Taking the Next Step
We’re honored that you’re considering Community Lutheran School for your child.
At CLS, enrollment is more than a formality - it’s the beginning of a partnership. We seek families who value Christ-centered education and desire a school environment where faith, learning, and character are reinforced consistently between home and classroom.
Our application process is designed to be clear, supportive, and personal, with opportunities to ask questions and connect along the way.
Families Who Thrive in Community
Community Lutheran School welcomes families from a variety of backgrounds. Families do not need to be Lutheran to apply, but they do partner with us in supporting our mission, values, and Christ-centered approach to education.
CLS may be a great fit for families who are seeking:
- A school grounded in Scripture, tradition, and liturgy
- A consistent reinforcement of values taught at home
- Small class sizes and personal relationships
- A calm, family-oriented environment
- A thoughtful education that prepares students for today while anchoring them in what endures

Affordability & Tuition
Community Lutheran School is committed to making Christ-centered education accessible to families.
Education Savings Accounts (ESA)
Many families are eligible to use Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) to help cover the cost of private school tuition. ESAs are state-funded accounts that allow families to direct education dollars toward approved educational expenses, including tuition at accredited private schools like CLS.
Participation in the ESA program has made Christian education more attainable for many families across Iowa.
Eligibility and program details are managed by the State of Iowa. We encourage families to learn more about ESAs and how they may apply to your situation.
