Creating, Expressing, and Celebrating God-Given Gifts

The arts at Community Lutheran School play an important role in helping students discover and express the gifts God has given them. Through music, drama, and creative expression, students build confidence, work together, and share their talents in ways that strengthen community and bring joy.

The arts are not reserved for a select few at CLS - every student is encouraged to participate, contribute, and grow.

Music & Performance

Music is woven throughout student life at CLS. Students sing, perform, and learn together in age-appropriate ways that foster confidence and collaboration.

Highlights include:
  • Christmas musical performances that celebrate the season and share the story of Christ’s birth
  • Spring musicals that bring students together across grade levels
  • Regular opportunities to sing and perform as part of school life

These shared performances are meaningful experiences for students and families alike, creating memories that last long after the curtain closes.

A Community That Celebrates Together

Arts at CLS bring students, families, and the community together. Performances are not just events – they are celebrations of growth, effort, and God-given gifts.

Drama & Creative Expression

Through drama and performance, students learn to speak confidently, work as a team, and step outside their comfort zones in a supportive environment.

Teachers guide students through rehearsals and performances with encouragement and care – helping students grow in responsibility, perseverance, and confidence.

Visual Arts

Creative expression is also integrated into classroom learning across grade levels. Students explore art to think creatively, express ideas, and reflect on the world God has created.

Whether through visual art, music, or performance, creativity is celebrated as part of a well-rounded education.

Growing Through the Arts

At Community Lutheran School, the arts help students grow in confidence, creativity, and community – while honoring the gifts God has entrusted to them.
