Affordability & Accessibility
Because every child deserves a strong foundation in faith and learning, Community Lutheran School partners with families to make tuition clear and manageable. Through the faithful support of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Readlyn and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Klinger, a significant portion of the true cost of education is underwritten each year.
This shared investment reflects a deep commitment to Christian education and helps reduce the financial burden on families. Tuition at CLS is not carried by parents alone. It is a shared mission, sustained by partnership, generosity, and a commitment to educating the next generation in the light of God’s Word.
With Iowa ESAs, it is only $52 out-of-pocket for the year for families.
Iowa Education Savings Accounts (ESA)
Many families are eligible to use Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) to help cover the cost of private school tuition.
ESAs allow families to direct state education funds toward approved educational expenses – including tuition at accredited private schools like Community Lutheran School. For many families, this program has made Christ-centered education more attainable than they expected.
We encourage families to explore ESA eligibility early in the admissions process and are happy to help answer questions along the way.
Lutheran School Tuition Organizations
In addition to congregational support and Iowa Education Savings Accounts (ESAs), Community Lutheran School families may also benefit from tuition assistance made possible through Lutheran School Tuition Organizations (STOs).
Organizations like Iowa Lutheran School Tuition Organization (ILSTO) help connect donors with families seeking Christian education, providing tuition assistance that makes Lutheran schools more accessible across the state.
These programs reflect a shared commitment to Christian education – where churches, donors, and families work together to invest in the next generation.
For many families, STO support plays an important role in offsetting tuition costs and making a CLS education attainable.
